News/June 2018

Ever made someone a mixtape? How about with objects from a museum?

With our app you pick someone you care about. And then you create the perfect digital gift for them on your phone. Choose beautiful objects, choose the perfect soundtrack, wrap it up and send it. Working with our long term collaborators the Mixed Reality Lab at the University of Nottingham, we’re exploring the future of museums.

Come along on 18,19 or 21 July and try it out. Turn up with friends or by yourself – it’s up to you how long you spend and then we’ll chat with you afterwards for a few minutes. There will be biscuits.

Testing is such an important part of Blast Theory’s process and your feedback will directly contribute to the development of this major new project. It will also help Royal Pavilion & Museums to better understand how people navigate Brighton Museum.

Now…who will you send your gift to?

When: Weds 18th / Thurs 19th / Sat 21st July between 10.30am – 3.30pm
Where: Brighton Museum
Age: 14+

What do I have to do?

Come along to Brighton Museum at the times above, and we’ll be there to welcome you. You can’t miss us! Bring your phone and some headphones for the full experience.

Tell me more..

Free admission is also offered to Brighton and Hove residents, students or school groups, with valid ID.

There is a great exhibit on Gilbert and George on at the moment which we can highly recommend!
