News/September 2018

Come along to The Messy Edge 2018, Brighton Digital Festival’s conference, where our BDF artist in resident Rhiannon Armstrong will be taking about her latest project ‘The Slow GIF Movement’.

Rhiannon shares:

“I’ll be taking inspiration from the title of the conference and presenting from The Messy Middle of the residency: I’ll be sharing where the thinking behind the project has taken me as well as some of the GIF experiments I’ve been working on whilst at Blast Theory, including dangerous seafront filming, windup toys, a kaleidoscope I’ve had since I was 5, and a series of poems made from words found in the bin.

I’m also going to explore some ofthe places I think the work could go. I’m hoping to get responses, provocations, and maybe even some new collaborations with people who find the idea of a Slow GIF Movement interesting.”

When: Friday 28th 10:30am – 5pm
