Dan Shay Brighton Digital Festival Resident

Dan’s work addresses the impact of technology on our society, seeking to create crucial space for us to reflect on this.

Applying an interdisciplinary approach, Dan investigates the blurring boundaries between our real and virtual worlds. His past projects have used installation, projection, sound, digital and analog film to make works that resonate within the fields of moving image, expanded cinema and live performance. Moved by the potential for art to provoke conversation, here he looks to create interactive works that directly facilitate conversations.

During his residency with Blast Theory and Brighton Digital Festival, Dan will be engaging with festival venues to create online and offline interventions. Midway through his residency we will host an Open Forum Discussion at Blast Theory studios.

Come to Dan’s talk at the Blast Theory studio on the 19 September and read more at danshay.co.uk
