We’ve been re-listening to the phone calls that make up Short Periods Of Structured Nothingness in preparation for a fresh outing later this month. To create the work we spoke to a diverse group of young women over the course of a week – about where they feel control in their lives and where they don’t. Hearing those voices again was a reminder that being young is no obstacle to being clear-sighted, unflinching and articulate in describing the struggles of daily life.
