We’ve been re-listening to the phone calls that make up Short Periods Of Structured Nothingness in preparation for a fresh outing later this month. To create the work we spoke to a diverse group of young women over the course of a week – about where they feel control in their lives and where they don’t. Hearing those voices again was a reminder that being young is no obstacle to being clear-sighted, unflinching and articulate in describing the struggles of daily life. If you have the chance, dial in when it goes live later this month to hear for yourself.
Short Periods Of Structured Nothingness launches as part of Hooked at Science Gallery Atlanta on 14th May. You will be able to dial in to experience the work using a UK or US phone number.
More details coming soon.
