Rachel Henson is interested in solo walking and the heightened sense of alertness and vulnerability we feel when outside on our own. We enter an almost trance-like state, totally immersed by our surroundings, and the objects we find along the way have the ability to fuel our imagination and creativity.

While at Blast Theory, Rachel is developing a navigation device that guides the walker through touch. Looking at screens can sometimes detach us from our surroundings so Rachel is creating a box that beats, like a heart, when pointing in the right direction of travel.
