In September, we offered Our Friends Electric the chance to have a free three-week artist residency with Blast Theory and we’re very excited to announce that Imwen Eke was the chosen resident.
Imwen will be working on a project called Blk rooms while on residency with us from the 10th – 28th October. The project intends to explore digital interaction using a series of immersive rooms and a narrative focusing on Black British experiences.
The idea emerged from an amalgamation of Imwen’s experiences, working with multi-disciplinary frameworks and attending various experimental theatre shows. It is her intention to create an alternative theatre piece that is engaging to a culturally diverse audience.
The residency space was offered to Our Friends Electric, our subscription group for fans of Blast Theory.
