Jessica Harneyford is primarily a writer and is currently developing an interactive digital narrative piece called LEILA: The Lovelace Test. The work explores the blurred lines between humans and machines asking questions such as: what it would take for an artificial agent to be deemed ‘creative’? Could an artificial agent be said to be ‘morally responsible’ for its (her?) actions?

Jessica is also interested in poetry and one of her own poems, Walking In the Park on a Saturday Afternoon, was a runner-up in the Nuffield Council on Bioethics and Apples and Snakes (un)natural competition. She plans to explore some of the possibilities offered by electropoetics during the residency.
