anti-cool is an interdisciplinary artist from Japan, based in Liverpool, working in the field of performance art, installation and film. Direct interaction with people in different social/cultural backgrounds is one of the most important elements of the artist’s work. The two main themes of her practice are social systems and how peoples tendencies are affected by our globalised society.
During the residency, anti-cool will be working on a film project which explores the themes of borders, human rights and families. The work is especially focused on migrants living in the UK and the British families related to them.
