Lucy Frears – loc0motion – is a practice-based PhD research student based in the Academy of Innovation & Research (AIR) at Falmouth University and runs two networks for those making or interested in locative & interactive work. CLAN includes monthly meetings where creatives/ technologists demonstrate & talk about their work (possible to join in through Google hangout & based on the successful Pervasive Media Studio model) with some post-meeting training sessions.  Then there’s the Phling network for PhD researchers and academics. Lucy is developing apps with AppFurnace/using digital media as part of her research. A perfomative and/or gaming piece based in an old dynamite works site will be researched & developed during the Blast Theory residency.
