Artist talk at 20 Wellington Road

On Thursday 4 December Brighton University’s new Play Research Group will be hosting “The Play Sessions”. This first event, Mapping Play Space and Player Experience, will focus on spaces of play and how creators imagine and produce specific geographies of play that invoke both the familiar and the uncanny as key aspects of that experience. Blast Theory artist Matt Adams will give a talk titled ‘The Audience As Protagonist’ outlining techniques and approaches used in a selection of Blast Theory’s work.

Other sessions include an examination of the Secret Cinema phenomena and a talk by artist and academic Tine Bech on the subject “Why Play?”.

The event is at M57, Grand Parade, University of Brighton from 3 – 7pm on the 4th December 2014 and is open to the public.
