Artist Matt will be holding a two-day workshop on the 13th and 14th July at the University of Bayreuth with lecturers from the Human Geography and Performance Studies courses.
The workshop, ‘Embodying speculation’, is being held in parallel to a seminar called ‘Mapping Bayreuth’, which seeks to explore the virtually extended urban space of Bayreuth and is for Masters students at the University. Research will be conducted into how digital and social media are changing our interaction with urban spaces, exploring our use of Geoweb apps such as Google Maps in relation to defining the city centre, peripheries, work and leisure spaces.
