Blast Theory and Brighton Digital Festival Resident Artist Talk.

We’re excited to invite you to our studio for an open forum with artist Dan Shay.

Dan is a Glasgow based artist who’s work addresses the impact of technology on our society, investigating the increasingly blurring boundaries between the real and the virtual.

During his six week residency Dan will be engaging with festival venues to install online and offline interventions. These interventions prompt us to reflect on our merging horizons of physical/virtual, online/offline environments and engagements.

Through sharing recordings, findings, questions and other stimuli from recent artistic engagements, we will explore how technology affects us in such private and public contexts.

Come along to contribute to Dan’s residency, share your own experiences of how technology affects you and how the role of the artist can address this.

When: Tuesday 19th September, 19:00 – 20:00
Where: Blast Theory studios, Unit 5, 20 Wellington Road, Portslade, Brighton, BN41 1DN

Admission is free but please let us know if you’d like to attend volunteer(@)blasttheory.co.uk
