Blast Theory are the first ever Artists in Residence at the World Health Organization in Geneva. With the support of the Wellcome Trust, artists Matt Adams, Ju Row Farr and Nick Tandavanitj have spent time at the Strategic Health Operations Centre. The SHOC monitors epidemics and pandemics across the world and coordinates the international collaboration in response.

The artists are in the process of making two works prompted by the residency reflecting on contagion and cities. One at the Museum of the City of New York in September 2018 as part of “Germ City”. Then in 2019 they will bring a project to Hong Kong. The residencies have comprised of three visits to Geneva which began January 2018.
