Out of the darkness we bring you Pot Luck: Light Making with recycled, upcycled (presents?) and re-used materials.

We will make something bright for ourselves or someone else and feel the buzz of being creative together whilst treading lightly on our planet.

Bring a friend, bring some food and for this one please bring some materials. These might include old lamps; lampshades; cardboard; paint; paper; cord; thread; small objects: almost anything really that excites you to use or that you’ve had lying around for a while that you don’t know what to do with!

Tools you might bring include glue guns; drills; screwdrivers for wiring plugs; lamp cables if you have any; bulbs that fit – LED is more environmentally friendly.

We will eat, make, talk and look at some artworks using light in inspiring ways. We will learn how to do some basic electric wiring as well and of course, we will learn from each other!

There are limited places so please email me soon [email protected]

Looking forward to seeing you in the New Year!

My warmest wishes as always,

Your Pot Luck host, Ju x

Aimed at people who are early on in their careers, Pot Luck is a chance to network, make new friends and discuss your work, or an idea for a work. We will offer you support in whatever way we can to help you advance your creative practice and yourself as a maker.

Pot Luck is based on the Potlatch a North American indigenous communal meal or gathering where everyone brings something they can contribute to the meal or to give away.

There will be something to takeaway with opportunities, courses and tools for you to look at later!
