Tomorrow I am going for 10 days to the world’s second-largest and second-most-populous continent in the world, according to Wikipedia, I am going to Africa.
I have never been there before and I am trying to work out in advance what it is that “Playable Cities” means to me, in relation to Lagos.
It’s only one hour ahead of Greenwich Mean Time and by this time tomorrow I will be flying over Morocco.
I am looking at this photograph of two men standing in the lagoon with water up to their chests as they work, the Makoko floating school is behind them. I’m in the Blast Theory studio in Portslade near Brighton, England, typing away on my laptop, the harbour and working port out of my window – this is a part of my work. And I am getting ready for the changes and am prematurely stunned.
